Some typical April stuff coming up i suspect with some heavy showers , hail , sunny days and big temperature fluctuations.
The models seems to be suggesting some unsettled and cool weather at times , interspersed with periods of Springlike warmth at other times.
I like April because you generally get a bit of everything thrown in and it is a month of great change in the garden.

regards
JS

Mainly fine settled (especially south) and dare I say it, warmish weather developing this week.

Things do not look so promising further down the line however.

Our old friend Greenland High looks set to arrive (2 months late) and bring 1 final shot of winter.

Problem areas look to be the north (generally) and higher ground to the south.

Snow could also fall as far south as London, leading to a temporary covering.

I will keep you updated when details become a little clearer.

Cheers

It is noticeably colder this morning brrrrr.

Anyhow, potential of snow above 100m (and below at times) Monday Afternoon.

Temporary coverings and travel disruption expected.

As we move through next week (latter part) hints of warmer settled weather (20c+)

Latest output suggests the snowlike north of say Northampton.

A secondary low wants to spin out on Thursday, this will surpress temperatures further, and could bring some 'disruptive, wintry weather to the North and North West in particular.

Thereafter the greenie block 'should' collapse and allow westerly winds bringing temperatures closer to average.

Day 9&10 still show (as yesterday) settled warmer weather approaching from the south (and is 1 to watch)

Cheers

So, warmer weather will return next week.

Not a heatwave by the way, just average. As we move through May it looks like northern blocking will remain a driving factor in our weather thus keeping the temperatures down (and at times on the cool/cold side)

Maybe (just maybe) we will be rewarded by the slow start to summer with a hot July and August for a change (rather than the April/May of the last 3-4 years.

I would be happy with that

Cheers
